Today I’ll be sharing a tasty recipe for making probably the most addictive instantaneous pot Korean quick ribs. I say addictive as a result of it has all of the makings of an outstanding dish–tasty, fall-off-the-bone quick ribs, a bomb sauce, and a lot extra. Just don’t be shocked when you end up craving them on a close to each day foundation like I do. They’re that good!

Addictive Instant Pot Korean Short Ribs (ERMAHGERD!)

Ingredients

2 kilos 1/Four- to 1/2-inch-thick crosscut bone-in beef quick ribs (flanken type)

½ cup soy sauce

¼ cup water

¼ tbsp mirin

1 inch recent ginger, peeled and grated

Four tbsp brown sugar

½ Asian pear, grated

½ small onion, grated

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

2 scallions, sliced thinly

black pepper to style

Instructions

  1. Add the soy sauce, water, mirin, ginger, onion, Asian pear, garlic, sesame oil, pinch of black pepper and brown sugar to the Instant pot.
  2. Stir to mix.
  3. Add the ribs and toss to coat.
  4. Close and seal the Instant pot.
  5. Turn the venting knob to SEALING.
  6. Press the PRESSURE COOK button and test to verify the stress stage reveals as “High” on the show.
  7. Adjust the timer to 25 minutes.
  8. When completed cooking, launch stress naturally in line with producer’s instructions.
  9. Open the lid.
  10. Remove the ribs from the Instant pot.
  11. Press the SAUTE button on the Instant pot.
  12. Cook the sauce, stirring often, till the liquid is thick and glazy.
  13. Press the CANCEL button.
  14. Taste and add extra black pepper if needed.
  15. Spoon the sauce over the ribs and toss to coat.
  16. Serve instantly sprinkled with scallion or for charred ribs, flip the broiler on the oven.
  17. Place the ribs beneath the broiler and broil till frivolously charred on either side.
  18. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with scallions and serve.
